Eva Longoria has to be smarting a bit. The actress has been fairly unlucky in love (cases in point: Tony Parker, Eduardo Cruz, Mark Sanchez). Now her efforts as producer have failed; NBC decided to axe her reality dating game Ready for Love after two episodes due to unfortunate ratings. Too bad we’ll never get to see local entrepreneur Ernesto Arguello’s hometown date in Miami Beach.
It is unclear when, if ever, the remaining episodes of RFL will air.
Maybe Longoria needed to take few tips from Patti Stanger, who is still going strong as Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker.
The UM grad (class of ’83) is the special guest at the Girlfriends Getaway Weekend at the Loews Friday-Sunday. Stanger is set to conduct a meet and greet, sign books and partake in other self-serving activities at the Ocean Drive event. Andy Cohen’s sidekick, 51, sure knows how to dish it out but has never married. Though it’s looking close with her live-in boyfriend, mortgage broker David Krause. The pair met at on an online dating site, not at her Millionaire’s Club, she said.

TheDirty.com blogger Nik Richie thinks he’s going to shock people by disclosing a few “secrets” about Lindsay Lohan. But really, is that possible? In the book called Sex, Lies & The Dirty, Richie said he was “freaked out” when the actress — while on a paid gig for New Year’s Eve 2008 in Miami — “shamelessly snorted cocaine off her wrist in a nightclub bathroom.” She visited many clubs while dating DJ Sam Ronson so it’s unclear which one it was. Richie was married to Shayne Lamas. You’d think he’d have a tougher shell.
Alonzo and Tracy Mourning held a private luncheon last week at Prime 112 to announce the rebranding of their non-profit organization from Alonzo Mourning Charities to the Mourning Family Foundation. “Both Tracy and I recognize that we are in a position to help educate and enrich the lives of South Florida’s youth — our future,” Alonzo Mourning said.
