We teach our kids about democracy, and that often translates into the voice of the majority determines direction. It seems that this is no longer in the United States.
How, I wonder with exasperation and dismay, can my elected officials ignore 90 percent of the people? We are treated as if we are stupid and have short memories. I haven’t been so angry about anything like this for many years.
The next child who is killed by gun violence will be on Sen. Marco Rubio’s conscience. Shame on all of those senators who ignored their constituents. I am one of them and will not forget.
