More than 700 attendees of the March 1 evening gala benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami at the American Airlines Arena were deliciously welcomed with Bacardí beverages and sparkling Magic City views.

The night began on the arena’s huge terrace with an equally big cocktail party that ended with a 15-minute fireworks display. The fabulousness continued inside, where five-time Grammy nominee Willie Stewart kept guests swaying with contagious reggae and African rhythms.

The gala’s goal was to raise $1 million through ticket sales and a silent auction. Having blown right past that number, guests were in the mood for some serious dancing. Celebrity DJ Irie, official music man to the Miami Heat, was on hand to make sure that vibe kept going. And going.
