VeritageMiami (formerly the United Way Miami Wine & Food Festival) gets underway Wednesday with a craft beer tasting at Wynwood Walls, 2550 NW Second Ave., Miami. Admission is $55 (7 p.m.), $75 VIP (6 p.m.).

The fundraiser for United Way programs continues with a fine-wine tasting Thursday at Coral Gables’ Village of Merrick Park, 358 San Lorenzo Ave., featuring 300 wines, light bites from local restaurants and cookbook signings by Norman Van Aken, Linda Gassenheimer, Ingrid Hoffmann, Bernie Matz and Allen Susser. Tickets are $100 (7 p.m.), $150 VIP (6 p.m.).

The festivities also include a sold-out dinner Friday by chef Daniel Boulud and a $300 wine auction and dinner Saturday at the Orion Jet Center. Tickets and additional information are at unitedwaymiami.org.
