Brad Pitt stops into Cinema Con


Brad Pitt in Vegas? Yeah, baby. USA Today reports that the actor made a surprise stop at CinemaCon to introduce his upcoming zombie action movie, World War Z. The star took the stage Monday night at Caesar’s Palace, stunning attendees of the convention of theater owners. Pitt told the crowd: “Five years ago, I knew absolutely nothing about a zombie. Today I consider myself an expert.”

Details emerge

The ex-mother in law of Hugh Jackman’s accused stalker spoke to The New York Daily News about Katherine Thurston, the woman who confronted the actor at his NYC gym on Sunday armed with an electric razor. Joan Washburn told the paper that she believed Thurston had been diagnosed as bipolar. According to public records, the 47-year-old had been arrested at least 11 times since 2003 in California, involving arson, trespassing, and possession of stolen property. “She’s had issues for a long time.” As for Jackman, he still is going to the same gym, but brings his French bulldog, Peaches, with him.

Off the wagon

Ozzy Osbourne denied rumors of a split from his wife Sharon, but did admit returning to booze and drugs. On his Facebook page, the Black Sabbath singer, 64, added he’s been sober for 44 days.

The good son

Bradley Cooper has a roomie: his mom, Gloria! The Hangover star admitted that tidbit in Details’ most recent issue. Cooper, 38, says she moved into his L.A. home after his dad died of lung cancer in January 2011 at 71. Cooper said they are still dealing with the aftershock. Luckily, mom is cool. “She can hang,” says Cooper, dating model Suki Waterhouse, 20 .

    Sounded too good to be true, and it was: Valerie Harper is not “cancer free,” as Closer Weekly reported. There is no cure for leptomeningeal carcinomatosis — cancer of the membranes around Harper’s brain. The veteran actress says in a statement that the magazine’s reporter misunderstood when she said her most recent full-body scan was clean and that the cancer had not spread.
