Coast Guard evacuates boater northwest of Key West

Crew members from Coast Guard Station Key West evacuated a woman from a 65-foot vessel Saturday afternoon after she had repeated seizures on board.

Someone onboard the vessel Pleiades, about 35 miles northwest of Key West, called the Coast Guard at 4:18 p.m. to report the seizures, according to a Coast Guard news release.

Coast Guard crew members launched a small vessel and evacuated the woman to the Coast Guard Station in Key West, where emergency medical personnel were awaiting for her arrival.
