Hallandale invites citizens to write in their opinions of police department

The Hallandale Beach Police Department is looking for the public’s input on how the department is run as part of its reaccreditation process.

The department, which was first accredited in 2007, will have an on-site visit from a team of assessors from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation on April 23.

A team of assessors will look into the department’s policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services.

In order to become accredited, the department must comply with more than 200 standards.

Comments can be sent to CFA, PO Box 1489, Tallahassee, FL 32302, or emailed to info@flaccreditation.org.
