Police investigating driver who crashed into box truck after being shot in Northwest Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade police are investigating after a man who had been shot crashed into a box truck on NW 9th Street and 7th Avenue.

Detectives said the man was driving down NW 9th Street when he crashed into the box truck after losing consciousness, then got up and ran into a nearby apartment. From there, he called the police.

The man had been shot in the chest, but the shooting happened in another unknown location.

Police are asking that anyone with more information call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
