Weather alert: Another cold night ahead

The South Florida chill is expected to continue Wednesday night, with temperatures and wind-chill factor dropping into the 40s.

Miami-Dade and Broward counties opened shelters for homeless people Tuesday. Broward planned to keep its shelters open Wednesday night; Miami-Dade had not yet decided, according to a spokesman.

The weather will remain cool and dry throughout the week. Wednesday will bring a high temperature in the upper 60s. Thursday and Friday will see highs in the low 70s and lows in the 50s.
