No news on the Dolphins’ offensive line front Friday — Eric Winston and Brandon Moore remained unsigned after midweek visits — there was action on the defensive line.
Former Ravens, Bills and Panthers defensive tackle Dwan Edwards visited the Dolphins on Friday, the team announced. However, Edwards resigned with the Panthers late Friday. Meanwhile, Elvis Dumervil — who’s only a free agent because his former agent failed to fax paperwork into the league office on time — is also on the team’s radar, according to The Denver Post.
Edwards, 31, started 14 games for Carolina last year, recording a career-high six sacks.
Dumervil already has offers on the table from the Broncos and Ravens, but it is unclear if the Dolphins have gotten that serious. The Broncos wanted him to take a pay cut, despite recording 11 sacks last year, and released him when an administrative snafu made it cost prohibitive to keep him.
