Services for FAMU student killed in turnpike crash

An FAMU student who died in a car crash on Florida’s Turnpike on her way to college will be remembered at a service in Northwest Miami-Dade Saturday.

Timbrina Thomas, a junior honor student and member of FAMU’s Marching 100 band, died from her injuries after the crash near Melbourne on March 17.

Thomas studied psychology, according to FAMU student newspaper The Famuan, and played the saxophone.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on March 23 at Bethel Apostolic Temple, 1855 NW 119th St.
