The Memphis Grizzlies are coming off an impressive win over one of the league's best and look to build on that momentum when they hit the road to New Orleans to take on the Hornets.

The Grizzlies registered a 90-89 overtime victory versus the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night as Marc Gasol's tip-in of a missed layup from Zach Randolph just prior to the final buzzer proved to be the difference.

Memphis did squander a 10-point lead in the third quarter, but pushed through to score seven of the 13 points in overtime for its eighth win in 10 tries and 16th in the previous 19 contests. Randolph finished with 15 points and 18 rebounds, while Gasol notched 14 points and 15 boards.

"We were forced to handle adversity against a very good team. That says a lot about our confidence down the stretch and believing we can win regardless," said Grizzlies guard Mike Conley, who had 24 points.

Jerryd Bayless posted 20 points in a reserve role for Memphis, which is in the mix for the third seed in the Western Conference and sits three games behind the Thunder for the No. 2 spot.

The Grizzlies look to stop a two-game road slide and are 19-13 away from home.

Meanwhile, New Orleans will resume its seven-game homestand and is 1-1 on the residency following Wednesday's 87-86 win over the Boston Celtics on rookie Anthony Davis' putback of an Eric Gordon miss with 0.3 seconds remaining.

Ryan Anderson scored 14 of his team-high 21 points in the second half to lead the Hornets back from a 13-point deficit early in the third quarter. Gordon added 18 points and Davis finished with nine and eight rebounds for New Orleans, which had a 45-28 advantage on the glass.

"This was a real big win for us," said Davis. "We've kind of struggled in these close games and to win this one is a real boost of confidence for the whole team."

The Hornets ended a four-game slide, won for the second time in nine tries and pushed their record in the Big Easy to 13-21. They will also play host to the Nuggets, Clippers, Heat and Cavaliers.

Memphis has won two of three meetings with New Orleans this season and seven of the past nine encounters between the teams. Memphis, though, has lost 11 of 15 and 13 of its last 19 trips to the Crescent City.
