Recari up by 1 in Carlsbad

Beatriz Recari carded a 5-under 67 on Friday to move 1-shot clear of the field after two rounds of the Kia Classic.

Recari finished 36 holes at 8-under-par 136. The Spaniard claimed her lone tour title at the 2010 CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge.

Karrie Webb managed a 2-under 70 at Aviara Golf Club to remain tied for second place at minus-7. She was joined there by Paula Creamer (68).

First-round leader Jane Park carded an even-par 72 and slipped into a share of fourth place at 6-under-par 138. She stands alongside Cristie Kerr (68), 2010 runner-up Inbee Park (69), I.K. Kim (67) and Haeji Kang (69).
