Recap: Miami vs. Washington

Kurt Suzuki went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and Bryce Harper had two hits and four RBI to lead the Washington Nationals to a 7-5 win over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday.

Jayson Werth added a pair of hits and an RBI and Ryan Zimmerman also drove in a run for the Nationals, who got five scoreless innings from starter Chris Young.

Rob Brantly hit a pair of doubles and drove in two runs, while Giancarlo Stanton, Greg Dobbs and Christian Yelich added one RBI apiece for the Marlins. Starter Wade LeBlanc gave up six runs on seven hits over five innings to absorb the loss.

    Freddy Galvis and Erik Kratz each homered off closer Aroldis Chapman in the bottom of the ninth innings Sunday, rallying the Philadelphia Phillies past the Cincinnati Reds for a stunning 3-2 victory.

    Locke, Pirates shut down Astros 1-0

    Jeff Locke allowed three hits over seven innings, Pedro Alvarez homered and the Pittsburgh Pirates won for the eighth time in 10 games, 1-0 over the Houston Astros on Sunday.
