Conservative Republicans invited Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum and Marco Rubio to their CPAC meeting. But they didn’t invite New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who has a a more-than 70-percent approval rating in a blue state.
Republicans don’t get it. They want to change the party to win elections, yet the only change they make is to move farther to the right. Not only do they disregard who won the last presidential election, they also disregard almost every poll showing they are on the wrong side of every issue — gay marriage, gun control, reining in Wall Street, voting rights — the list is long.
While President Obama is far from perfect, he and the Democrats are always fighting for the right causes, while the Republicans continue to lead their party into the 18th century.
