Services set for former state Sen. Larcenia Bullard

An Omega Omega sorority service for former state Sen. Larcenia J. Bullard, D-Miami, who died Saturday, is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday at the Church of the Ascension, 11201 SW 160th St., in South Miami-Dade. A litany service will follow at 7 p.m.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, a funeral service will be held at the South Dade Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211th St.

The family asked that instead of sending flowers, friends make contributions to the Rachel and Edward Bullard Jr. Foundation, 14842 Robinson St., Miami, FL 33176.

Bullard is survived by her husband, former state Rep. Edward Bullard; children state Sen. Dwight Bullard, Vincent, and Edwina Simms; and four grandchildren.

‘Boot Camp’ helps young felons become productive citizens
