Paul Ryan isn’t serious or, if he is, he doesn’t live in the real world. Why spend all that time and energy tilting at windmills when he knows that there isn’t the chance that the GOP’s proposed plan to balance the federal budget will pass?
Meanwhile the clock is ticking and, when he should have been a statesman going for a pragmatic rather than dogmatic approach, he chose to follow dogma.
Hopefully, smarter, more practical people will want the country to move forward and remember a basic from elementary school civics: Politics is the art of compromise.
