Recap: Baltimore vs. Minnesota

Lew Ford drove in three runs and Matt Wieters added a two-run homer as Baltimore downed Minnesota, 7-1, in exhibition play.

J.J. Hardy hit a solo blast, while Chris Dickerson hit safely twice and drove in a run for the Orioles, whose other squad dropped a 5-3 decision to the Phillies on Sunday.

Steve Johnson tossed four scoreless innings for the win, outdueling fellow starter Vance Worley, who was tagged for six hits and three runs over four full frames.

Brandon Boggs' ninth-inning home run accounted for all the Twins' offense. Jamey Carroll and Wilkin Ramirez each collected two hits in the loss.
