I was saddened to read about the proliferation of the Internet cafe gambling dens throughout Florida and the political conflicts tied to them. I was pleased that the Allied Veterans front wasn’t operating in Miami-Dade or Broward, where voters approved gaming expansion legally. It’s time that legislators approve the two final games, dice and roulette, to allow our legal venues to advertise full casinos to attract out-of-state tourists and the many conventions that go with them. Allowing the Seminole Tribe to operate outside of their reservation would only be fair. A Florida Gaming Commission would help by regulating our future gaming establishments. That way we could control our landscape and keep things kosher, while keeping the “bath salt” of the gaming industry out.
