Share the pain, Congress

 

All entitlements on the table mean everything, including congressional pensions. Members of Congress are quick to begrudge the poor, who are barely surviving on Social Security, but we don’t hear any of them offering to give up even $1 of their six-digit pensions. It’s time for Congress to share the pain of cutbacks. We are all in this together, right?

    On five Sunday television talk shows, the Obama administration sent out senior advisor Dan Pfeiffer to downplay the three recent scandals: AP, IRS and Benghazi. His claim that the still-unanswered question of where President Obama was and what he did was irrelevant, since Obama was in contact with his staff, was particularly outrageous.
