Recap: Kansas City vs. Seattle

Billy Butler and Salvador Perez each drove in a run as the Kansas City Royals edged the Seattle Mariners, 4-2, on Wednesday.

David Lough and Xavier Nady also knocked in a run for the Royals, who saw pitcher Ervin Santana give up two hits, including a solo homer to Carlos Triunfel, while striking out seven over four innings.

Kyle Seager had two hits and an RBI for the Mariners.

Seattle Starter Hisashi Iwakuma gave up two runs on four hits over four frames. Tom Wilhelmsen was charged with the loss after giving up a run in the sixth.
