I was concerned to read the March 9 story, New TSA policy on knives, bats sparks backlash.
This shining approach to airline safety is set to begin in April. If a union representing flight attendants and other airline workers finds this policy to be dangerous, imagine how most travelers must feel.
A passenger in my aisle can have a folding knife with a 2.36 inch blade, and I still have to take off my shoes at security.
Disabled children will still be patted down, helpless seniors will still be strip searched, and guys with hockey sticks will be allowed through. I can hardly wait to take my next flight.
