The Little Havana Kiwanis Club, a nonprofit organization that supports needy families in the community, organized the Calle Ocho festival, which marked its 35th anniversary this year. About 200 pro-immigrant activists took advantage of the festival on Sunday, March 10, 2013, to organize a march from St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2987 W. Flagler St., to Southwest Eighth Street.
