Suzann Pettersen fired a 6-under 66 on Sunday to take a 1-stroke victory at the World Ladies Championship.

Pettersen finished the tournament at 18-under 270, while third-round leader Inbee Park carded a 3-under 69 in her final round to take second place at 17- under 271 at the Sandbelt Trails Course.

"I knew it would take the best to get this trophy, but I was really keen on winning this tournament and it sets me up for a good start for this new year," said Pettersen.

Shanshan Feng (66) took sole possession of third at 11-under, while Bo-Mi Suh (69) and Soo Jin Yang (72) shared fourth at minus-10.

Pettersen entered the final round two shots behind Park, but recorded her second straight bogey-free round to capture her sixth Ladies European Tour victory.

The world No. 8 Pettersen started her push with three straight birdies starting at the second, and then added another birdie at the fifth to hit the turn at 4-under on the day.

She then managed two birdies during her inward nine -- at the 10th and 13th -- which turned out to be enough as Park countered five birdies with two bogeys during her final round to fall just short of the victory.

"I know Inbee is in there and if she just gets one look at a putt, it's in, so I had to bring my best and the putter was hot today," Pettersen said.
