Recap: Pittsburgh vs. Tampa Bay

Chris Gimenez went 2-for-3 and hit a go-ahead RBI double in the top of the seventh inning that lifted the Tampa Bay Rays to a 4-2 decision over the Pittsburgh Pirates in a spring training matchup.

The Rays broke a scoreless tie by tallying all four of their runs in the seventh, with Tim Beckham's two-RBI double capping the big inning.

Tampa Bay also received a strong effort on the mound from starter Alex Cobb, with the right-hander striking out five while yielding just one hit over four scoreless innings. Chris Archer followed with three shutout frames to earn the win.

The Pirates managed just four hits against Tampa pitching, with Russell Martin's two-run double in the ninth accounting for Pittsburgh's only scoring.

Bucs starter James McDonald also turned in a good performance, surrendering only one hit and three walks over four scoreless innings.
