Northbound lanes of Turnpike closed for dump truck rollover

The northbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike approaching Stirling Road are currently closed, due to a dump truck rollover.

The dump truck rolled over before 5 p.m. Wednesday and spilled its load of gravel onto the Turnpike.

Traffic is being diverted off at Hollywood Boulevard.

Sgt. Mark Wysocky of Florida Highway Patrol said no one was injured during the accident. The dump truck overturned after possibly having a tire blowout and hit the highway wall.

FHP is cleaning up the road, and it should reopen by 7:30 p.m.
