Pres. Clinton to appear at philanthropy event Saturday

Former Pres. Bill Clinton will be the keynote speaker at a Philanthropy Summit this weekend in Miami.

The event, hosted by the Miami chapter of the National Basketball Retired Players Association and Head and Heart Philanthropy, is Saturday at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, 3300 SW 27th Ave.

The summit will feature presenters from the Open Society Foundation, Tides Foundation and Clinton Foundation as well as Haitian Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe. It lasts from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Clinton is the keynote speaker for the benefit dinner, which starts at 7 p.m.

Tickets start at $1,500 each; tables can be reserved starting at $15,000. Tickets are available by calling 832-314-3477.
