Recap: Texas vs. San Diego

Jeff Baker singled in the winning run in the ninth inning to help the Texas Rangers take a 5-4 victory over the San Diego Padres in Cactus League play.

Joey Butler tied the game with an RBI single in the ninth, while David Murphy drove in a pair for the Rangers, who got three scoreless innings from starter Yu Darvish. Cory Burns pitched a scoreless top of the ninth for the win.

Kyle Blanks hit a solo home run and drove in two for the Padres, who saw starter Eric Stults get touched for two runs on two hits in three innings. Matt Stites was handed the loss for giving up two runs on three hits and a walk in the ninth.
