Re the March 2 article, Osorio pleads guilty to fraud, faces prison: Have I missed something? Claudio Osorio pleads guilty to defrauding investors of $50 million, loses his $12 million house, and is allowed to keep a half a million dollars so that he can buy a condo for close to a million. When someone holds up a 7-Eleven and gets caught, is he allowed to keep part of the proceeds?
I presume that when Osorio emerges from prison and joins his unindicted co-conspirator wife, they can live in luxury again. There’s something really disgusting about this story.
