Davis to return for Hornets

New Orleans Hornets rookie forward Anthony Davis is slated to play in Monday's game against the Orlando Magic after missing the team's previous two contests with a sprained left shoulder.

Davis sustained the injury during the second half of a 101-97 home loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 26, but the 2012 No. 1 overall draft pick participated in Monday's shootaround and has been cleared for action without any known restrictions.

"He's playing," Hornets head coach Monty Williams confirmed. "No minute restriction; not that Ive heard. That could change this evening, but nothing that I've heard so far."

Davis, who sat out 11 games due to a stress reaction in his left ankle earlier this season, has averaged 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds over 45 appearances thus far in his debut campaign.
