Miami-Dade County offers free workshop in Homestead on how to open a business

Miami-Dade County’s Department of Regulatory and Ecoomic Resources is offering a free workshop on “The ABC’s of Opening a Business,” from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Pichol E. Williams Community Center, 951 SW 4th St., Homestead.

Participants at the workship, hosted by Commissioner Dennis Moss, will learn how to open a business, including how to obtain a certificate of use, a local business tax receipt, a home business license, permits and registration, as well as essential insurance coverage for small businesses.

County staff will be available to answer questions and share their expertise on the necessary tools to start and operate a successful business. To reserve a seat, call 305-375-3677.
