There may be more parrot species in Miami Springs than in any other city in the world, according to a leading researcher.
The community is invited to learn more about South Florida’s exotic birds during a presentation on the “Parrots of Miami Springs and Virginia Gardens” at the Curtiss Mansion.
Bird experts Paul Bithorn and Daria Feinstein will entertain residents on the "phenomena" of the city’s parrots as well as their intelligence and personalities.
They will also share personal stories that include the flock of three dozen blue and gold macaws that parade over the city’s sky.
Refreshments will be served during the one-hour long presentation.
