Steelers sign CB Gay to three-year deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed cornerback William Gay to a three-year contract on Monday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gay was selected by the Steelers in the fifth round of the 2007 draft and spent his first five seasons in Pittsburgh before playing for the Arizona Cardinals in 2012.

He started 15 games last season and racked up 57 tackles, two interceptions, six passes defensed and three forced fumbles.

The University of Louisville product appeared in 80 games (37 starts) during his tenure in Pittsburgh and compiled 247 tackles, 43 passes defensed and three interceptions.
