Animal Kingdom, trained by Graham Motion, put in a six-furlong workout Monday morning ahead of his start in the Dubai World Cup on March 30.

Second in last month's Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap, Animal Kingdom worked the distance in 1:14.78 over a firm turf course at Palm Meadows Training Center near Gulfstream Park. The trainer tweeted that the five-year-old went five-furlongs in 1:02 and will have two more workouts before the World Cup.

Owned by Team Valor, Animal Kingdom was runner-up as the 4-5 favorite to Point of Entry in the Turf Handicap by 1 1/4-lengths on Feb. 9. It was his first start since finishing second in the Breeders' Cup Mile in November at Santa Anita.

Animal Kingdom won the 2011 Spiral Stakes and Kentucky Derby, and was second in the Preakness Stakes.
