Last day of voting to help Leewood school win contest

Monday is the last day of online voting in a competition in which a Kendall school is the only Florida finalist.

Leewood K-8 Center could win a $110,000 technology package from Samsung in the company's Solve for Tomorrow competition, a nationwide contest focused on highlighting projects involving science, technology, engineering and math. Chosen out of 1,600 applications, the South Miami-Dade County school is among 15 finalists collecting online votes.

Voters must register their email address with Samsung to vote. Cast a vote for Leewood here. Read more about the school’s garden project.
