Crash leaves one person dead in southwest Miami-Dade

Police were investigating a car accident that left one man dead in southwest Miami-Dade early Saturday.

The driver of a blue Volkswagen Jetta, speeding eastward on Sunset Drive, crashed into the side of a black Hyundai about noon, according to CBS4.

The collision caused the Hyundai to spin out of control and crash into a tree on the median. The male driver of the Hyundai died before rescue officials reached the scene.

Police have not yet identified either driver involved.
