Form hotel coalition

 

Letter writer Florencia Tabeni very eloquently says that the Sun Life Stadium updates will have a very positive impact to our area. She says a single Super Bowl will bring a $400 million infusion of revenue. Who benefits the most and why do taxpayers have to subsidize millionaires?

Why doesn’t she form a coalition with other hotels such as the Ritz-Carltons, The Four Seasons, The Setai, the Betsy and Trump International? They are the ones that would benefit the most from the stadium upgrades. Taxpayers are tired of these fruitless donations.

    As Florida State University’s class of 2013 graduates are awarded their hard-earned diplomas, it’s a good time to reflect on the accomplishments of the academic year. To sum it up, we have had a very good year.

  • Contributing to undocumented immigrants’ low morale?

    Re the May 21 article Cutoff would leave many without legal status: How horrible we all should feel in contributing to the low morale of illegal immigrants. Had these criminals known of the impending cutoff date for amnesty I feel sure they would have committed their illegal act earlier. Shame on us!
