American Airlines adds new Miami service

American Airlines announced Thursday that it is introducing daily service between Miami and San Diego.

The nonstop flights on a 150-seat Boeing 737-800 are scheduled to start June 12. Flights will leave Miami at 6:50 p.m. and arrive in San Diego at 8:55 p.m. Returning flights depart San Diego at 9:45 p.m. and arrive in Miami at 5:40 a.m. the following day.

The airline said that with the addition of the San Diego service, American Airlines will fly to 115 destinations from Miami with more than 300 flights a day.
