Actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth will christen Royal Caribbean International’s next new ship, Quantum of the Seas.

The Miami-based cruise company announced the choice of godmother in a commercial that aired during Sunday’s broadcast of the Academy Awards.

In addition to television and movies, Chenoweth has appeared in several Broadway productions, including the popular Wicked. Royal Caribbean pointed out its own Broadway background in a press release; it was the first line to feature fully licensed Broadway productions aboard its ships.

Quantum of the Seas, with capacity for 4,100 passengers at double occupancy, will debut in fall 2014. Sister ship Anthem of the Seas follows in spring of 2015.
