Hornets' Davis to miss game

The Sports Network

New Orleans Hornets forward Anthony Davis will not play in Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a sprained left shoulder the rookie sustained in the team's last outing.

Davis was hurt after being fouled by Brooklyn center Brook Lopez in the third quarter of Tuesday's 101-97 loss to the Nets. The 2012 No. 1 overall pick briefly remained in the game before being removed later on, and did not accompany the Hornets on their trip to Oklahoma City.

The 19-year-old had six points and four rebounds in 21 minutes before exiting, and is averaging 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds over 45 games this season.
