Recap: Milwaukee vs. Seattle

Franklin Gutierrez and Justin Smoak each hit two-run homers and the Seattle Mariners downed the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-5, in spring training action on Tuesday.

Michael Sanders followed Gutierrez's blast in the third with a solo shot off Milwaukee starter Yovani Gallardo, who was pegged for three runs on five hits over 2 2/3 innings.

Carlos Peguero had a run scoring double prior to Smoak's go-ahead homer in the eighth. Carson Smith picked up the win after tossing a scoreless frame in the seventh.

Blake Lalli hit a solo a homer and Alex Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with an RBI double for the Brewers, who received an RBI apiece from Aramis Ramirez and Jean Segura in the setback.
