Recap: Houston vs. Detroit

Brett Wallace went 3-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and two RBI as the Houston Astros defeated the Detroit Tigers, 9-4, in spring training action on Tuesday.

Jason Castro finished 2-for-2 and added a two-run homer for the Astros, who had 11 hits for the game and also received two RBI apiece from Robbie Grossman and Trevor Crowe.

Erik Bedard made the start for Houston and gave up an unearned run on two hits over two innings of work.

Detroit starter Doug Fister surrendered Castro's home run in the second inning and Duane Below was tagged for five runs on five hits in an inning of work in the fifth.

Brayan Pena hit a two-run homer and Kevin Russo had an RBI double in the setback.
