Seth MacFarlane: ‘No way’ I’ll host again

We won’t have Seth MacFarlane to kick around at the Oscars next year.

The controversial Family Guy creator is taking a pass on hosting ever again, according to his Twitter exchange with a fan.

Someone asked MacFarlane Tuesday if he would ever return to the podium, and the comedian replied: “No way. Lotta fun to have done it, though.”

ABC reports ratings for the telecast were up 11 percent, but MacFarlane didn’t make new friends with some of his puerile jokes.

He’s been called out for a lot of poor-taste jokes involving slavery and Jews, but most likely the worst offense was the number We Saw Your Boobs, which named mega movie stars (like Meryl Streep, Silkwood) in roles in which they were exposed. The New Yorker, for one, called it “sexist.”

Not doing well

Sofia Vergara always stands out on the red carpet at any awards ceremony. But the Modern Family star was noticeably absent from the Oscars. The New York Post reports that the Colombian bombshell had the flu. The odd thing is that spies say Vergara looked fine while out to dinner with fiance Nick Loeb at an L.A. steakhouse the night before. Though she did Tweet a picture of herself in bed with her tongue sticking out, looking ill.

Lucky No. 3

Time is running out to send Janet Jackson a wedding gift. The singer has been married since last year. Joking, of course. The pop star isn’t lacking for much. Her husband, Qatari fashion mogul Wissam Al Mana, is loaded, with a net worth estimated at $1 billion.

In a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight, Jackson, 46, and Al Mana, 37, said their wedding was a “quiet, private and beautiful ceremony.”

This is Jackson’s third marriage. Former hubbies are Rene Elizondo Jr. and singer James DeBarge. The latter union, in 1984, lasted a mere three months.

Love on the rocks?

Another long-term union may be coming to an end. Star magazine reports that earlier this month, Cindy Crawford was caught flirting with Kardashian step brother Brody Jenner as well as rocker Johnny Zambetti at a bar in Malibu. A source told the tab that the model was overheard saying that her marriage (to Rande Gerber) was over. Crawford’s publicist denies there is any trouble in the pair’s (almost) 15 year marriage. As always, time will tell.
