Recap: Tampa Bay vs. Boston

Yunel Escobar and Ryan Roberts each delivered two-run doubles to lead the Tampa Bay Rays to a 6-3 win over a split-squad Boston Red Sox team in a Grapefruit League matchup.

James Loney went 2-for-2 with a run scored for Tampa Bay, with Cesar Ramos recording the victory with two scoreless innings of relief.

Alex Cobb drew the start for the Rays and worked the first two innings, yielding a pair of runs on four hits that included a solo homer to Dustin Pedroia in the top of the first.

Mike Carp had an RBI double in the loss, while Jose Iglesias came through with a run-scoring single for Boston.

Red Sox starter Alfredo Aceves allowed two runs on two hits and a pair of walks in a two-inning stint. Chris Hernandez received the loss after permitting three runs and four hits over two frames.
