Police investigate shooting in Overtown, 3 injured

Miami Police were investigating the details of a Saturday night shooting in Overtown that sent as many as three people to the hospital.

Police Det. William Moreno said officers were dispatched to Nothwest 19th Street, between Northwest Second and Third Avenues, in response to shots fired at about 7:15 p.m.

A man, whom police would not identify, was transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The other two injured people were driven to the hospital, Moreno said.
