Recap: Arizona vs. Colorado

Josh Rutledge finished 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored to help the Colorado Rockies open their spring training slate with an 11-2 rout of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tim Wheeler and Kent Matthes each added a solo home run, while Jonathan Herrera finished 3-for-3 with two RBI for the Rockies, who went 64-98 last season and finished in the cellar of the NL West.

Colorado starter Drew Pomeranz allowed two runs on three hits and two walks over two frames to earn the victory.

Martin Prado and Adam Eaton registered an RBI apiece for Arizona, which finished third in the NL West with an 81-81 record.

Tyler Skaggs was tagged with the loss after giving up four runs -- two earned -- on four hits in 1 2/3 innings of starting work.
