Ride with the archbishop for Sunday ‘poker run’ in Miami-Dade

The Archdiocese of Miami will hold a Motorcycle Poker Run with Archbishop Thomas Wenski on Sunday, when contestants will ride along a set course, making stops at five locations.

At each stop, the contestant will pick up a card, eventually collecting a complete poker hand. At the end of the race, the player with the best hand wins a $500 Harley Davidson gift card.

Registration for the Poker Run will begin at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary-St. Richard Catholic Church, 7500 SW 152nd St. in Palmetto Bay.

Cost to ride and play is $25 and includes a T-shirt. The ride begins at 9:30 and will end at Peterson’s Harley Davidson, 19400 NW Second Ave. in Miami Gardens.

All proceeds will benefit Catholic Charities and St. Luke’s Center.
