Justice for Diella Beth Ludwig

 

Re the Feb. 14 article, Child dies amid questionable DCF inaction: Why would child welfare administrators allow Diella Beth Ludwig, a frail, extremely vulnerable infant, to be placed in the custody of her father, an unemployed, drug-addled miscreant with a long criminal history?

Within a short period after accepting Diella, this sad excuse of a father who was bothered by the baby’s crying killed her by crushing her tiny skull.

The reprehensible action by child welfare administrators in handing over Diella to a known drug-abusing criminal cries out for justice.

I do hope that DCF finally takes the necessary steps that will prevent this kind of unspeakable tragedy from ever occurring again.

    Teachers risk their lives

    Between the horrific shooting in Connecticut and the devastating tornado in Oklahoma, schools, tragically, have been at the epicenter of the carnage. In both cases, teachers put their lives on the line to protect their charges, innocent children, by placing themselves between the kids and harm’s way.
