UTD should share wealth from Towers sale

Re the Feb. 16 article, UTD Towers price triggers union flap: The profits from the sale of the Stanley Axelrod UTD Towers on Brickell Avenue shouldn’t be placed in a not-for-profit entity run by the union.

It belongs to each member of the union and, therefore, should be remunerated in the form of a dividend.

Members should question the stealth tactic-sales of this asset. Why haven’t they openly listed this property for sale, attracting multiple offers?

Transparency seems to be an issue and a $6 million difference means each member could receive an additional $333. Now is the time for this union to show good faith and think of their members.
