New World program illuminates Mozart’s music

The New World Symphony’s retrospective programs devoted to Schubert and Beethoven have been highlights of recent seasons, and it was Mozart’s turn in the spotlight over the weekend. Utilizing two of the New World Center’s auxiliary balcony stages for chamber music performances as well as the main playing area, A Mozart Journey offered an exhilarating overview of the genius from Salzburg Saturday night.

    Mainly Mozart Festival closes era in eclectic fashion

    The Mainly Mozart Festival packed the University of Miami’s Gusman Concert Hall to capacity for the finale of its 20th season, with a large number of families joining regular patrons.

    GableStage completes 2013-14 theater lineup

    GableStage artistic director Joseph Adler has announced the five shows that complete his 2013-14 season, which features the already-announced U.S. premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney’s set-in-Haiti Antony and Cleopatra.
